SYNTHETIC LEATHER GLOVES:
- We recommend machine wash synthetic leather gloves in cold
water using a laundry detergent. - If you don’t have a washing machine, we recommend washing
your gloves in a sink using laundry detergent or dishwashing soap. - Do NOT use bleach or solvents, can cause discoloration.
Hang-dry your gloves to prevent any material shrinkage and
maintain proper sizing. - Do NOT machine dry with heat or expose the gloves to a heat
source other than indirect sunlight.
WINTER GLOVES:
- We recommend machine-washing your gloves in cold water
using a laundry detergent. - If you don’t have a washing machine, we recommend washing
your gloves in a sink using laundry detergent or dishwashing soap. - Do NOT use bleach or solvents, can cause discoloration.
- Hang-dry your gloves to prevent any material shrinkage and
maintain proper sizing. - Do NOT machine dry with heat or expose the gloves to a heat
source other than indirect sunlight.
FR GARMENTS:
- We recommend Wash separately in a Normal or Cotton cycle at any
water temperature up to a maximum of 140ºF (60ºC). Use any typical
home laundry detergent. Do not use soap (tallow soap containing
animal fats). - Turn garments inside out before wash to reduce streaking from
abrasion. Fill the washer no more than 2/3 full and use high water level. - DO NOT use chlorine bleach or liquid nonchlorine bleach.
- Do not use starch or fabric softeners as they may coat fibers and mask
FR performance and/or serve as fuel in the event of garment ignition. - The use of conditioned or soft water can help improve removal of
contaminants from garments. Hard water precipitates soaps and can
result in the build-up of calcium and magnesium salts. These can
serve as fuel in the event they are exposed to a source of ignition. - It is important that all soils and other contaminants are completely
removed from garments during the wash process. This may require
the use of stain removal products, such as Shout®, Spray ‘n Wash®,
or Zout®; or presoaking garments prior to washing. The use of hot
water can often make detergents more effective in the removal of
soils. If all contaminants cannot be removed in home care, garments
should be dry cleaned. - Do not over dry garments. If desired, you may press with an iron on
the Permanent Press/Low setting. - Always consult the garment manufacturer for detailed instructions
and precautions.
LEATHER GLOVES:
- We recommend washing your Leather gloves periodically to remove
salt and mineral build-up from perspiration. - Do NOT use bleach or solvents, which can cause discoloration.
- We recommend hang-dry your leather gloves to maintain proper
sizing and prevent any material shrinkage. - Do NOT machine dry with heat or expose the gloves to a heat source
other than indirect sunlight.
HIGH VISIBILITY GARMENTS:
- We recommend Machine-wash your hi-vis apparel with like colors
in cold water only. - Use the “delicates” cycle on your washing machine with a mild detergent.
- Don’t wash jeans, work clothes or other rough fabrics (including those
with hook-and-pile fasteners) when washing reflective or neon clothing. - Gently wipe stubborn areas using a clean, dry cloth and a mild stain
remover. - Only use stain removers that are marked safe for bright colors and
don’t contain bleach. - Never scrub the color-enhanced fabrics on hi-vis clothing because
you could create a splotchy or worn appearance that reduces reflectivity
and could ultimately put you at greater risk of not being seen. - Use your dryer’s lowest heat setting – no heat is preferable – to avoid
damaging the heat transfer film or the adhesive that holds the reflective
stripes in place. - As soon as the cycle is complete, remove your garment to ensure the
reflective tape doesn’t permanently crease. - Once dry, put your hi-vis garment on a hanger until you’re ready to
wear it again to keep it in pristine condition.
KNITTED GARMENTS
- We recommend wash your garments inside out. Wool must be hand-
washed in tepid water or it will shrink. Gently swish your garments in
the water and never rub or wring. Acrylic can be washed in the
washing machine with your regular washing. - Gently swish the garment in clean, cold water. Repeat until all the
soapsuds are gone and the water is clear. - Gently squeeze out the water. To remove the excess moisture, lay the
garment on a clean, white towel (to prevent any color transfer) placed
on a flat surface. Roll the towel and sweater together, squeezing and
adding pressure as you go. Leave the garment to dry on a flat surface,
then fold and store in a cool, dry place
